Hi Reader,
Some encouragement this morning that starts with this question: How do you know if you're extraordinary?
This may not be the definition of extraordinary you'd expect.
I’m guessing you’re going through something right now.
In 2025, I was processing a very difficult year with my counselor—health challenges, personal challenges, and 29 stressors in 14 months.
He also coaches NBA players and a variety of top leaders, and shared this:
“You know, some of these guys might make $10M a year, but they need ideal conditions to perform. Throw a bit of adversity at them, and they crumble. You’ve been through so much in the last year and a half, and you’re still going.”
Then he dropped this...
“
Nobody becomes extraordinary through ordinary conditions. To be extraordinary, you have to go through extraordinarily difficult circumstances that almost kill you.
|
The challenge is that you don’t feel extraordinary in moments like this. You feel like you’re hanging on for dear life.
Maybe that’s you right now. If it is, and you’re up to face another day, guess what you are?
Extraordinary.
