We're diving deep into AI this month because, well, I'm convinced leaders are not asking the right questions about AI.
Most leaders are asking "What prompts are you using?"
The better question is "What is AI going to do to us, to the world, and to our ministries?"
So I go there today again on the podcast.
Most of us have heard the idea: AI won’t take your job. Someone using AI will.
That’s one of the assumptions I chase down in my conversation with Will Jones from the Future of Life Institute.
Will thinks that misses the bigger issue. If you outsource more and more of your thinking, writing, and decision-making to AI, you may actually lose the skills that make you valuable in the first place.
And for pastors, the stakes are even higher.
Should AI write your sermons (my answer: no)? But also ask this: could AI gradually introduce a worldview into your teaching that you never intended?
