I'm hiring an Executive Assistant (know anyone?)

Hi Reader,

I have some news: I'm hiring an Executive Assistant, and I wanted you to hear about it before anyone else.

Here's why I'm telling you... you're part of a community that cares about the local church and about leadership done well. Which means there's a good chance you either are the right person for this role, or you know them.

So, who are we looking for?

We're looking for the kind of person who sees the whole board. You manage a calendar, yes, but what you really manage:

  • Priorities.
  • Deadlines.
  • Negotiations.
  • And most importantly the judgment calls that keep everything moving.

As someone who consistently interacts with our audience and clients, you do it with kindness and integrity.

If that's you, this role puts those instincts at the centre of everything we do, and we'd love to have a conversation.

This role isn't for everyone. It's fast, and it takes real judgment. A big part of the job is saying no to people in a way that somehow leaves them grateful. (If you've ever done that well, you know it's an art.)

If you or someone you know is an experienced EA who wants to serve something bigger, this might be an incredibly meaningful role for you. You'd be joining a small, 100% remote team that takes the mission seriously without taking ourselves too seriously.

And if this isn't you but someone just came to mind, would you forward this email to them?

Seriously, that's usually how we find the right person.

Whether you apply, forward this along, or just keep showing up here, thank you. I don't take it for granted that you open these emails.

Cheering for you,

P.S. The role is remote (Eastern time hours) and we're hoping to move quickly. If you're interested, apply now!
