Your Best Leaders are Leaving (Here's Why)
Published about 2 hours ago • 1 min read
Hi Reader,
Do you have enough high-capacity volunteers right now?
I'm talking about volunteers who attract other capable leaders. Who don't drop balls. Who love a challenge and constantly overperform.
They can be very hard to find and even harder to keep.
If you're like most church leaders I talk to, the honest answer is no. The frustrating part is that those people are probably already in your church. They're sitting in your seats; they're just not serving (or they tried and walked away).
After making every mistake in the book myself, I'm convinced of this: in most cases, it's not them. It's us.
In my latest video, I walk through six reasons you're losing your highest-capacity volunteers… and what to do about each one. Some of them might be uncomfortable, and a few might make you wince. But when you can't see what's going wrong, you can't fix it. And when you can, everything changes.
Plus, none of it requires a budget increase or a new hire; it requires a shift in how you lead. And that shift is completely within reach.
So today I want to share the top 6 reasons you're losing your highest-capacity volunteers (or why they never step forward in the first place) and help you decide what to do about it.
The people you need are closer than you realize. They're already in your church, already bought into the mission... they just need leadership that calls out their best. And I think you can be that leader.
Cheering for you,
P.S. The cover of AI and the Future Church just released last week. Here it is, incase you missed it.
